# Conversion

BYN is a native token for the previous protocol in the Ethereum network. 

BYN token can be converted to new NLP token via Conversion

\*100 $BYN equals to 1 $NLP and once you stake your $BYN

\*Users will receive $esNLP, an escrowed version of $NLP and will be vested in the course of a year.

\*Converted BYN will be burnt to reduce the supply of $BYN

**Why are we doing this?**

The ultimate reason in doing this is to "reduce" the supply of $BYN without sacrificing the incentives we can provide to new users coming into the platform. To be more specific, it would be the following:

1. Provide new incenitves for ZK Sync Defi Users
2. Stabilize $BYN with a better tokenomics that is organic.
3. Provide $BYN holders different chances of making profit

**Step 1: Connect Wallet**

**Step 3: Input how many $BYN you are going to convert to $NLP**
